The Capresso 464.05 CoffeeTeam GS Coffeemaker is a 10 cup brewer equipped with a burr grinder. A burr grinder? I hear you ask. A burr grinder slowly grinds coffee to reduce the loss of aroma and flavour. The conical steel grinder has 5 settings from course to fine which you can adjust depending on how strong you want your coffee to be. The slower the grinding, the less heat is produced, preserving the richness of the coffee.

The grinder has a 6-ounce bean container that you can see-through, so you can actually watch the progress of the grinding and see if the ground coffee flows properly into the filter basket. The see-through cover of the grinder is also detachable and makes it easy to clean the grinding chamber.

The grinder pours the ground coffee directly into the filter basket and causes less mess on your kitchen counter. The machine also comes with a charcoal filter that gets rid of over 80% chlorine and impurities from your water.

The Capresso 464.05 CoffeeTeam GS Coffeemaker has a brightly lit LCD display with a digital panel that is easy to read even in the dark. The unit has a programmable clock, timer, and 5 brew amounts from 2 to 20 cups. It also has a 3 programmable coffee strength settings; from mild to strong.

The unit has a 2 hour shut-off system for safety and a 900 watt non-stick warming plate.

Pros

Many people have said that the Capresso 464.05 is easier to clean than other grind-and-brew coffee makers. The machine also keeps your kitchen counter cleaner than other coffee makers in the market, because you end up making less mess while grinding and brewing.

It is also said to be more durable and comes with a good looking design.

Another plus to this unit is its ability to grind just the right amount of coffee beans for what you need without measuring.

Cons

There is some negative feedback though. Some people said that the burr grinder makes too much noise. They say the sound is loud enough to wake up the whole house!

Since it grinds coffee slowly to preserve the quality of coffee, grinding beans for a full pot of coffee can take as long as 45 seconds; this is not quick enough for everyone.

Another drawback is that some beans are left in the grinding chamber from a previous grind, and if you then change your coffee blend, the coffee can taste like a mix of 2 blends.

Despite a few problems, many owners of the Capresso 464.05 CoffeeTeam GS Coffeemaker swear by the excellent customer service in case you run into problems. After sales service can’t get any better they say.
